Abstract:
Aquatic products are an important part of the Big Food concept. Under the circumstances of the full utilization of land resources, it is an important strategic measure to expand the spatial pattern of agricultural production and promote the diversified supply of food by deeply cultivating rivers, lakes, and seas, as well as increasing the production of fish, shrimp, shellfish, and algae. To establish a Big Food concept view, the fundamental way out is science and technology. Therefore, based on the status quo of the development of aquaculture industry, this paper analyzes the present situation, potential, and trend of science and technology support, and puts forward policy suggestions to enhance science and technology support. These suggestions are significant for maximizing the role of technological advancement in the development of the aquaculture sector.
