Abstract
Thirteen endonucleases were used to analyse the mitochondrial DNA from 7 strains belonging to 3 subspecies of C. auratus. Nine enzymes produced C. auratus restriction fragment-length polymorphism between or within strains, and 16 mtDNA composite haplotypes were found. With the results of double enzyme digestion,the physical maps of 16 mtDNA composite haplotypes for 13 enzymes were constructed
